This year Our Lady Peace, one of Canada's most popular and successful bands, put together "Summersault" - a festival composed of a variety of different bands. Moist played a few of the shows on the tour, as well as I Mother Earth (with their new singer). I was able to attend the Quebec City show on the 29th of August, which included Esthero, I Mother Earth, Moist, and Our Lady Peace. It was an incredible show, since these bands (with the exception of Esthero, who rock!) happen to have been some of my favourite Canadian bands, and to be able to see a show with all three of them has perminantly marked an important event in my life. The Agora in Quebec City, where they event took place, was a very small, intimate venue, but crowded with a lot of people, and it was great to be there; the sound was great, the mood was intense, and with the exception of the pouring rain, the show was a complete success (in my opinion at least). I really have to hand it to OLP for hitting it off, and hopefully it'll come back next year, with a more diverse line-up. I took my camera with me, and was able to take some really great pictures of Moist's performance, so here they are! Hope you enjoy them:-) |
